Club Fees & Uniforms

Club Fees & Uniforms

The Club's Board of Directors has set a Club fee of $1,375 for the 2017-18 season. This compares very favorably with other premier clubs in the Region.

Of the $1,375 fee, a minimum of $700 is due on Commitment Night. Additional payments of $225 are due two, four, and six months after Commitment Night. Payments are made via credit card through the PayPal links (either the Full Payment or Installment Payment) links on the Links page of this website.

The Club fee is an all-inclusive fee. It includes gym rentals, tournament entry fees, player and coach memberships fees, equipment, coach stipends, any volleyball camp run by Olympian Scott Touzinsky, and administrative expenses. We do not, like many Clubs, charge a base fee and then require players to pay extra for coaches' travel  expenses, out-of-town tournament entry fees, gym rental fees, or other costs. We also do not require players to engage in fund-raising (raffles, trivia nights, selling pizza/ candy/gift wrap, etc.),  nor require parents to donate goods or services.

We do not normally travel "in season" (January-May) to out-of-town tournaments as it is too expensive for parents and disruptive of family routines. Tournaments are played within the St. Louis metropolitan area. Exceptions would be to an out-of-town National Qualifier, or Gateway Region sponsored event, such as the Girl's Festival. Most travel is in June and July to such tournaments as the USA Volleyball National Championships, JVA/AAU National Championships, or the Asics National Championships. While the Club fee covers the coaches' travel, it does not include a player's own travel expenses.

Uniform costs are in addition to club fees. A new uniform set is approximately $185. It includes 3 jerseys, a pair of shorts, a pair of socks, and a warm-up shirt. We value stability and structure; hence we have adopted a distinctive jersey with the "Arch" logo on the front and "Powerhitters" across the upper back of the jerseys. As we buy uniforms, shorts, and socks in sufficient quantities, we receive a discount from All Volleyball. Given our tax-exempt status, items are sold without application of any sales tax being added, thereby saving players and parents additional money.

2017-18 uniform information will be available on the Documents link of our website on how to purchase uniforms through our partnership with All Volleyball. Uniform samples will be available at the Commitment Nights. Players will able to purchase uniforms on-line through All Volleyball's website and Team Store. Information on the 2016-17 season is posted for general informational purposes only.

Information related to Powerhitters clothing will also be on the Clothing and Documents links prior to tryouts. Samples will also be available at the Commitment Nights.
