Congratulations to 18's outside hitter Hannah Wessel, who was named the Post Dispatch Scholar Athlete for Gibault High School. Now in its 46th year, the program recognizes one student from each area school who plays varsity sports and excels in the classroom. 

Hannah ranks 6th out of 70 students in her graduating class. She was a First Scholar for four years, an Illinois State Scholar in 2012, winner of the Optimist Cub Award in 2009, and a member of the National Honor Society. 

She was the Gibault volleyball co-captain for 2 years, a soccer co-captain, and also played basketball. This high school season, she ranked in the areas's top 15 in kills while leading Gibault to a 4th place finish at the State Volleyball Championships, and was named All State Honorable Mention. 

Hannah will attend McKendree College studying biology, and has a volleyball scholarship.  

Welcome to the St. Louis Powerhitters Volleyball Club website! We trust  that it will prove informative and useful. Materials are being continuously updated as we celebrate our successes of this past year, and plan for the 2011-12 season.

We are proud of the fact that the Club qualified a team for the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships in Dallas for the 2007-08  season in but our second year of sponsoring a Girl's program. Based on that early success, we continue to be one of the premier junior girl's programs in the Gateway Region. We look forward to an exciting 2011-12 season.
